Fiber Index Fit™

Different foods. Different occasions. Different FITs.
Your nutritional priorities aren't always the same. The food that fits one moment may not fit another. Before activity, you may prioritize available carbohydrate. At another eating occasion, you may prefer a stronger fiber presence relative to available carbohydrate.
That's where Fiber Index Fit™ comes in.
Fiber Index Fit™ evaluates fiber in the context of the food that contains it. It uses a food's Fiber Index Score™, Fiber Index Grade™, and Fiber Index Class™ to make differences in fiber context easier to understand and apply.
How to Use Fiber Index Fit™
Anytime you're choosing what to eat, ask one simple question:
Is this food the right FIT for what I need right now?
Fiber Index Class™ gives you three profiles to consider:
FAST™
A FAST™ profile represents lower potential for fiber-associated moderation of carbohydrate digestion and absorption. That may be a useful FIT for occasions when available carbohydrate is intentionally prioritized, including certain activity-related eating occasions.
BALANCED™
A BALANCED™ profile represents intermediate potential for fiber-associated moderation of carbohydrate digestion and absorption. That may be a useful FIT for everyday eating occasions where neither end of the Fiber Index continuum is the priority.
SLOW™
A SLOW™ profile represents higher potential for fiber-associated moderation of carbohydrate digestion and absorption.
That may be a useful FIT for occasions where a stronger fiber presence relative to available carbohydrate is intentionally preferred.
Different FITs, Not Better or Worse
Fiber Index Fit™ isn't designed to tell you that FAST™ is bad or SLOW™ is always better.
The classes represent different Fiber Index profiles. The better question is: What fits the occasion? A food's FI Class™ describes its relative position within the Fiber Index Fit™ model. FAST™, BALANCED™, and SLOW™ reflect increasing potential for fiber-associated moderation of carbohydrate digestion and absorption. They do not directly measure how quickly a particular food will digest in your body or predict your individual glucose response.
Turn Nutrition Information Into a Decision
Nutrition Facts tells you how much fiber and carbohydrate a food contains. Fiber Index Fit™ adds another layer: Fiber in context. And FIT turns that context into a practical question:
What fits what I'm doing? Different foods. Different occasions. Different FITs.
